Bank Account

You may have heard the horror stories about trying to open a bank account when you arrive in the UK, and unfortunately they are mostly true.

• We can set up a bank account in the UK without the need for a permanent address.
• We will provide a letter of introduction to a major UK bank to open your account without hassle.

National Insurance Number

All workers in the UK require a National Insurance Number (similar to a Tax File Number). NI contributions pays for pensions and health services and numbers are issued through the department of Social Security (DSS).

• We will assist you in obtaining your number and make the process as easy as possible.
• If you are working as a locum and choose to work through an Umbrella company you will be given a NIN as a part of
  setting up your company.

We understand that relocating to the UK can be a daunting process – some of our team have done it themselves! We will be here to answer your questions along the way and make the process as straightforward as possible. Our service to you is free which is great when everything else that’s involved when moving countries can add up.

• Your CV is tailored to meet UK formats and terminology so that you have the best chance of finding a position.
• You will be given a copy of all UK legislation and information you need to help you get that job.

Documentation to start work

• We work with you to ensure wherever possible that all your documents are in order before you arrive in the UK.
• A current police clearance is required from your home country (and any others you have worked in).
• A UK police clearance is applied and paid for prior to your arrival.

Discounted Car Hire

If you live in one of the big cities in the UK you can usually get around without needing a car but if you do want to hire a car for work or play, we can put you in touch with car hire companies who can save you up to 50%.

Social Events

At Synergy we firmly believe in developing special working relationships with our contractors and clients. We hold monthly coffee mornings to make sure you’re settling into the UK and when you’re working, arrange visits to take you out for lunch as well as holding a number of social events throughout the year. These are free and our way of saying thanks for all your hard work and effort. It is also a chance for you to meet new people in a similar position to share stories and advice.
