Synergy originally contacted me after I applied for a position that they were advertising on a social services website. I sent in my resume and my consultant replied back with lots of information including links to English legislation, the GSCC and other relevant websites. After several calls and helping me to prepare for my interview I eventually ended up interviewing with senior management at Coventry City Council. I was offered the post the next day. From then on Synergy regularly updated me with information, helped me with collating all the documents and assisted me with the visa and GSCC application. My consultant also made sure that my husband, who is a teacher, had access to Coventry’s HR department so that he could also find employment. As I have two young boys I needed to arrange childcare - my consultant identified contacts for me to chase up prior to my arrival. I had a particularly bad time with the British Embassy insisting on a specific clause in my maintenance letter from Coventry, but my consultant had it ready for the next day. I was met at the airport by a Synergy representative, who ensured that myself and my family were safely taken to the pre-arranged taxi. I was met at the hotel by my consultant, who made sure that I was comfortable with my new surroundings. He also gave me and my husband UK cell phones so that we could stay in touch. I have had a few issues with banks and other teething problems and have always found that my consultant and his colleagues at Synergy to be most helpful in sorting them out efficiently.
