The Synergy Group raise over £4,000 for charity
We are pleased to announce the final amounts raised for our 3 charities of the year for 2008/09.
Even during these tough economic times, staff at The Synergy Group can be counted on to dig deep in aid of charitable causes. The company has a long history of charitable donations, and the current financial year proved no different, with £4,373.49 raised in total. The money will be split between our 3 chosen charities for 2008/09 – PSP (a devastating brain disease affecting the elderly), The Dragonflies Project (a scheme which helps bereaved children) and The Blue Cross (an animal welfare charity) meaning each organisation will receive £1,457.83.
The money was raised in a number of different ways by Synergy Group staff, from quiz nights to raffles, eating competitions and baking days to more extreme efforts such as Marathon runs and the 3 Peaks Challenge. Fundraising efforts for the upcoming year are already taking shape, with a Kilimanjaro climb, an ‘Iron Man’ Challenge, Marathons and Half-Marathons and a Coast to Coast bike ride planned in the next 12 months.
