Synergy Launch New Website

The Synergy Group is proud to announce the launch of its new website.

The website was launched internally on Monday 16th June 2008 before going live to the public on Monday 30th June 2008. The internal launch gave us the opportunity to iron out any technical problems and content issues before going live to a wider audience.

The new Synergy website has a range of new features which both job seekers and our current candidates will benefit from. Firstly, job seekers will benefit from our new, easier to use registering facility and jobs-by-email function. This means it will be far less time consuming for candidates to send their CVs to us and register for relevant updates straight to their mailbox. Another new addition is the introduction of RSS feeds. Users of the Synergy site can now register for RSS updates for the industries they are interested in and receive job updates without even visiting the site!

Another advvantage our new site offers is improved usability access. To help users with disabilities, our site contains various usability aids which are listed here. In addition, all pages in this site conform to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines where possible. This Web site is tested on an ongoing basis for compliance with current accessibility standards and all pages on this site are tested as valid XHTML strict, using WC3’s mark-up validation service, and conform to W3C’s recommendations and standards.

Blogs are another new addition to Synergy’s online offering and this allows our staff to communicate with our current candidates, job seekers and clients on a regular basis in an informal environment. Finally, we have now added an area to our site for people currently working through Synergy – Contractor Tools. This part of the site will feature important information about Payroll Processes and Deadlines and all the important documents, such as Synergy timesheets and our Terms & Conditions.

We feel our new website has a much more modern look and feel than our previous site and is a much better representation of the brand we are trying to develop – modern, ethical, creative and honest. Technically, the site is much more in line with Web 2.0 and we should also see more traffic coming to the site due to improved Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). We have also added our new industry sectors to the site such as Finance, Insurance and Parking and given them their own pages, increasing  the number of jobs available to job seekers and giving them more choice.

We aim to enhance and improve the site in the future, so watch this space for more developments.
