Synergy employee Jo-Elle Doran named Business Manager of the Year
We are proud to announce that Synergy’s Jo-Elle Doran has been crowned Business Manager of the Year at the 2008 REC IM Awards.
The Synergy Group’s Social Care recruitment Manager Jo-Elle Doran has won a major title at the 2008 Individual Membership Recruitment Awards organised by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), the trade body for the UK’s private recruitment industry.
Nominated by Philip Poole, Synergy’s Director of Care & Professional Services, Jo-Elle is Synergy’s VMS (Vendor Managed Services) Social Care Team Manager.
A registered psychologist, Australian-born Jo-Elle was one of two finalists in the Business Manager of the Year category. She has been with Synergy since 2005 when she joined as a Senior Consultant on the social care team running a qualified social work locum desk at which she excelled.
She was promoted to interim team manager in September 2007 and became permanent team manager in September this year. As a result of her efforts, her team is the company’s biggest billing team having exceeded all their sales targets.
One of her team members Chrys Christie said of her: “Throughout the last year, Jo-Elle has been an inspiration to myself and the team as she takes time to listen queries and issues with both clients and candidates, and will always have a different way to tackle an issue which we have not thought about.”
Jo-Elle was presented with her award – a trophy and certificate – by Angela Masters, the REC’s Chair of the Board of Directors at a ceremony at the Haymarket Hotel in London on December 4th.
This is the second year the REC has staged the Individual Membership Awards and again, there has been a tremendous response with nominations across all the categories.
