Responsibilities

Ensure that all claim documentation is maintained in good order
To assist generally with the efficient running and management of the business
Alongside the claims director assist in the management of external and internal relationships
To provide supervision, mentoring and coaching
Assist with the implementation of group reserving philosophy and the establishment and maintenance of adequate and accurate reserves
Conduct staff appraisals where appropriate.

5.	Liaise with colleagues and insurers on claims

8.	Draft and send non standard correspondence, ensuring that these are checked by senior 	colleagues
9.	Answer the telephone, using own judgement on the referral of callers to a senior colleague 	and ensuring that information given is accurately recorded
10. 	Make written records of all conversations with customers and/or insurers, or other relevant 	business contacts, in accordance with the firm's procedures manual
11. 	Complete cheque and/or requisitions and liaise with Accounts for the same
12. 	Deal with claims payments under direct supervision of  a senior colleague/Manager
