The Synergy Group recently held its inaugural training seminar “Supervision skills for social workers” at their offices in Leeds.
Having surveyed over 200 Social Workers over the 2nd quarter of 2009 Synergy established that there is a real need for PRTL events across the country. 57% of those who took part agreed that they found it ‘very difficult’ to find PRTL events that fit around their working hours. In response to this the Social Care recruitment team at The Synergy Group decided that they would hold a schedule of weekend training events aimed at QSWs looking to keep their training and learning up-to-date in order to re-register with the GSCC after the initial three-year period.
The event “Supervision Skill for Social Workers” was held in Leeds last week and attracted a selection of delegates from across the specialisms.
Attendees comments:
“Really insightful to speak to and meet up with more experienced agency workers out of the work place and exchange thoughts.”
“Very good idea, nice to meet people away form the office and have already recommended it to other social workers – trainer was excellent.”
Brett Hemingway Manager of the Synergy Groups Social Care team comments: “As a specialist public sector Recruitment Company we feel obligated to play a supporting role in the training and development of Social Workers. Our aim is to help individuals achieve the required study hours/days to sustain their Approved Social Worker status.”
Following on from the success of the first event, The Synergy Group are pleased to announce a further seminar on Children/Safeguarding on Saturday 31st October 2009 from 10am for further information please call The Synergy Group on 0113 388 4200
